A PURR-FECT event featuring dozens of rare cats took place in Rugby.
A rare breeds cat show was held at the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre in Bruce Williams Way on Saturday, April 12.
A total of 177 cats were entered including Abyssinians, Asians, Korats, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, Singapuras and special non pedigree cats from four different special breed cat clubs.
It's the fourth year that the event has been there and Sheffield-based organiser Lynda Ashmore said it would return again in 2009.
She said: "The show went really well as it always does here in Rugby.
"We love coming down here and seeing the staff at the Ken Marriott and the local people - they always make us feel welcome.
"We had a total of 19 different categories and the judges found it hard to pick winners - the standard was very high.
"We see the show as a show case for the breeds and hope to bring these unusual creatures to widespread attention."
