Hotel boss takes on armed robbers with chair

ARMED robbers fled a hotel empty handed after the manager fought them off with a chair.
The masked men jumped over the reception desk at Brandon Hall Hotel armed with crowbars just before 2am on Sunday (June 29).
But they were deterred when the manager took them on with a chair.
The manager and the hotel staff locked themselves in a secure room.
The offenders fled empty handed in an unknown vehicle.
Officers are checking CCTV and Scenes of Crime officers are examining the scene for evidence.
