CANCER sufferer Russ Jones has died.

Russ, of Elter Close, Rugby, was part of our Last Hope Campaign to help get a life-enhancing drug for cancer sufferers.

The PCT originally turned down his many requests for Sutent because it was 'not cost-effective'.

But they did eventually agree to fund the drug - which is free in other counties - if results from a scan showed that the drug worked.

However, the results were not good and Russ died on Thursday.

See this Thursday's Advertiser for the full report and tribute to Russ.
