THE driver of a car involved in a bad crash in Hillmorton is extremely lucky, according to paramedics.
The crash happened in Fellows Way in Hillmorton around 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) when two cars and a 4x4 were involved in a collision.

Ambulance crews that attended the scene said they were astonished that one of the drivers escaped from the crash with only minor injuries despite his car being badly damaged.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "The driver of one of the cars, who was approximately 20 years old was left trapped in his car. When the first ambulance staff arrived he was unconscious.

"He had to be cut free. While ambulance staff treated him, he came round. Astonishingly, he was only complaining of neck pain. He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being taken to University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.

"A woman in the other car had minor bumps and bruises and did not require hospital treatment. The man in the 4x4 had a minor knee injury and was planning to seek further medical attention himself."
