Man arrested following car shooting

A MAN has been arrested following reports of a shooting in Bilton.
Police, including armed officers, attended an incident in Freemantle Road, yesterday evening (Wednesday) at shortly after 8pm following reports that a car had been fired at with a shotgun.

All the windows in the parked car on Freemantle Road, had been smashed during the incident.

The area was cordoned off with road closures on Freemantle Road, Frobisher Road and Evans Road, Rugby.

Police visited four addresses in the Rugby area during the night and as a result one man has been arrested.

He is due to be questioned later today on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

There are no reports of any injuries during the incident.

Police are still examining the scene and the roads remain closed this morning.
