Man in court following stabbing

A RUGBY teenager is due to appear in court today (Tuesday) following the stabbing of a man in the town centre.
Police investigating the incident charged a 16 year old youth with Section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

The teenager, who is from Rugby, was arrested yesterday and will appear at Stratford youth court today.

A 22 year old Rugby man suffered serious injuries during the incident, which occurred near to the Clock Tower at about 4.15am on Monday.

He is now in a stable condition at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire.
