Nearly 200 jobs could set to be created thanks to a revamp of Rugby's Tesco store.

Tesco bosses have submitted plans to expand their current site in Leicester Road.

The two storey complex will provide shoppers with 273 extra parking spaces on the ground floor, while a larger shopping area will be built on the floor above.

Local residents are being invited to an exhibition on Friday at the store to view and discuss the plans, between 11am-7pm and Saturday 10am-3pm.

Tesco's corporate affairs manager, Tony Fletcher said: "We are keen for as many people as possible to come and see how they can benefit from the new store and ask any questions they may have."
