Rugby Town Football Club and The Friends Of St Cross.
Rugby Town Supporters will be in the Clock Towers Shopping Centre this Saturday promoting their Blue Chip Lottery, which is run in conjunction with The Friends Of St Cross.
The Blue Chip Lottery, which has been running for over twenty years, is on
e of the main fund raisers for both parties, offering a weekly prize of £200, with 10 other prizes of £10. There is also a Snowball prize which currently stands at £4,800.
In an exclusive offer the club is offering all participants who sign up this week the opportunity of an extra number free. Mick Bird, one of the organisers, has called on the people of Rugby to support this local lottery in full.
Mr Bird added that with the current population of Rugby expected to exceed 100,000 over the next five years, it is important as a progressing Town that Rugby has a football team in a higher league to reflect that growth.
Mr Bird added that if only 10% of the Rugby population put £1 a week into the Blue Chip Lottery then the Conference National League would be very achievable playing teams such as Luton Town, Wrexham and York City on a weekly basis.
The clubs facilities have already been approved for this League, we just need the finances for a team to take us there!
Also on show Saturday will be the Southern Premier League Golden Boot award won by local youngster David Kolodynski and the Fair Play Award presented by the League to the club for last seasons excellent disciplinary record. For every person who signs up this Saturday they will be entered into a draw to win a signed Coventry City shirt.

The cost of the BLUE CHIP LOTTERY is £1 per week payable monthly by standing order. Winners are notified by local media and via the website www.rugbytownfc.com. You can also download details of the lottery and how to join by visiting the website.
