One game to go in Rugby & District League
At Rugby Bridge Club on Tuesday 6th May, 20 pairs took part in a 10 table threequarter Howell movement over 26 boards.
The final result was: 1 Richard Holland and Graham Clarke with 64.10%; 2 Peter and Vera Iredale with 61.32%; 3 Marjorie Davies an
d Paul Dorrington with 58.33%. The tournament was directed and scored by Malcolm Taylor.

On Thursday, May 8 at Ashlawn, 14 pairs took part in a 7 table full Howell movement over 26 boards.
1 Wendy Pattinson and Sue Osborne with 65.43%; 2 Patti Jarvis and Anne Burrage with 64.51%; 3 Sue Robards and Edwige Quick with 59.57%. The tournament was directed and scored by Jean Soulier.

In the Rugby and District Bridge League Division 1, Rugby Gambits beat Rugby Cavaliers 18-2, Rugby Rabbits beat Rugby Cavaliers 14-6 and Rugby All Stars beat Rugby Rabbits 19-1. In Division 2, Lutterworth Rebels beat U3A Jokers 20-0 and Rugby Labradors beat Rugby Clifton Clubs 16-4. Lutterworth Rebels and Rugby Saturday will play in Division 1 next season.

With just the last match in Division 1 between Rugby 'Eroes and Leamington Dinosaurs to play.
