South Northants Cricket League
Premier Division
Willoughby v Byfield

Byfield (85 for 1 – 20 pts) beat Willoughby (82 all out – 0 pts) by 9 wickets
Another severely weakened Willoughby side finally relinquished their Premier D
ivision status after a second successive hammering.
With relegation a virtual certainty, the home side with a handful of regular batsmen at their disposal were inserted and dismissed for another low total. Martin Nichols top scoring with 19.
The visitors set the winning platform before tea despite losing opener Clayton (29), before rounding off matters and a comprehensive win shortly after. Credit and special mention for Ben Hollis and Daniel Roberts in making their senior debuts and excellent application.
Results elsewhere confirmed Willoughby's presumed demotion whilst at the other end of the table those scores also confirmed Byfield's win ensured they were crowned champions.

Division 3
Wroxton v Willoughby A

Wroxton (179 all out -20pts) beat Willoughby 'A' (128 all out - 9pts) by 51 runs
With a second relegation to fight against and despite heavily bolstering their ranks, Willoughby A still could not produce the win they badly required as they fell short in North Oxfordshire.
Having dismissed hosts Wroxton for 179, the visitors were skittled out for 128 with the nine points yielded unable to make an impression at the foot of the table.
Barring a near miracle in the last round of SNCL fixures this weekend, the A side will almost certainly fall through the relegation trapdoor.
