Fantastic Falcons runners-up in tournament
U8 Rugby Town Falcons
(Sponsored by Ball Packaging Europe)
Eight of the Falcons and their families travelled to Minehead for the Bank Holiday weekend to take in the the Festival of Football run at Butlins. Over the three days the Falcons had a fantastic time both on and off the pitch. On the pitch they finished up runner-up on goals scored difference without conceding a single goal all tournament and record to be very proud of P7 W6 D1 L0 F16 A0 Pts19. They also won the U8 fairplay trophy for which referees marked teams after every game for players, parents and coaches sportsmanship, behaviour and attitude throughout each match. Again this is something that everyone associated with the trip should be very proud of, a great example of how mini soccer should be played. This award also puts the Falcons into a draw for a possible trip to the David Beckham Academy, so fingers crossed for that. A fantastic weekend and one that you should all be proud of with the effort, team spirit and the way you all behaved which was outstanding, well done - what a great bunch of lads: Peter Armstrong, Alfie Speed, Harry Collings, Tom Cleaton, George Heaven, Aiden March, Kasey Hughes and Jake Hersey.
