Princethorpe College County Netball Crown Retained for Second Year

Princethorpe College U19 netball team have retained the Warwickshire Schools Championships title for the second year running. It was almost a replay of the tournament of 2007 with Princethorpe coming head to head with last year's runners up Rugby School in the final.
" By this stage we were feeling really confident." Explained team captain Hollie Adams.
"Our toughest match was in the semis against Kings High but we managed to up the level of play. Our defending was especially effective around the circle."
The championships were held at Kings High School. Mathces were also won against Kinglsey,Alecester Grammar and Aylesford with the final going 10 – 7against Rugby School.
Head of Girls Games Mrs Emily Johnson commented on the team's perseverance and sheer enjoyment of the game.
"They are a recently formed team with many new faces. We have two superbly talented Year 11 students playing for this older age group. They picked up their skills to keep the ball constantly moving in their favour. It was a real pleasure to retain the title of Warwickshire Champions."
