Coventry Alliance Football League Division 1
Brookland Jaguar 0 Bourton & Frankton 2 A good all round performance saw Bourton win at Brookland Jaguar on Saturday.
Bourton started the better of the two teams and could of
gone in front on 15 minutes when Crinigan was put through on goal but a slip as he rounded the keeper allowed the defender to get back and clear the danger. Ten minutes later Bourton broke the deadlock with a move down their right involving Balcar and Macmanus to cross for Whitehead to fire home into the bottom corner.
Whitehead was put through on goal but his shot went past the post just before the break which would have made the second half more relaxing.
The second half was much the same as the first with Bourton well on top and they went further in front on the hour when Crinigan's shot was stopped by the keeper, Whitehead's follow-up was also saved but Thompson pounced to fire the ball into the net for 2-0.
For the next 15 mins Bourton dominated creating chances with Whitehead going close on two occasions and Catlow firing across the goal and just past the post. The hosts came back at Bourton in the last 15 mins as Bourton seemed to take foot of the peddle but in the main the defence stood firm and looked untroubled.
A good response from the defeat last week, with Carl Williams in defence outstanding.

Bourton & Frankton Reserves 7 AEI Rugby III's 0 B&F Reserves had a comfortable time of things with a local derby victory over AEI on a windy afternoon at The Field.
Kicking with the wind in the first half, B&F capitalised with three excellent goals. Robert Beckham opened the scoring with an excellent strike from the edge of the box that looped over the AEI keeper in the swirling wind. Shane Dunn added a second with a well taken goal on the half hour and Beckham got his second with a free kick that went in via the underside of the crossbar just before the interval.
The second half saw AEI change their formation and did better in terms of possession but struggled to penetrate the B&F defence.
The fourth goal from Dunn ended the game as a contest on the hour. Dunn completed his hat-trick on 70 minutes, followed by Beckham who ran clear from the half way line and coolly finished.
The other goal came from Chris Waller whose shot from the edge of the box was fumbled by the AEI keeper.
As well as the two hat-trick players, Darren Scott caught the eye for B&F at full back.
