THIS was the moment that plane enthusiasts had been waiting for.


Advertiser reader Peter Realf snapped this picture of the Vulcan Bomber taking off at Bruntingthorpe airfield on Thursday for the first time in 14 years.

About 20,000 people across the world helped raise the £6.5m needed to restore the Cold War bomber.

Thousands gathered at the site to get a glimpse of the historical moment.
